Mineral Drilling Association of Australia

The Mineral Drilling Association of Australia was incorporated in 2001 to develop competency standards for the mineral drilling industry. The organisation has developed its own set of competency standards, runs seminars and conferences, publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, produces operational guides and forms for industry, and strives to provide services and support for its expanding membership base.

We have a vision to represent the Mineral Sector of the Drilling Industry in Australia to promote, and achieve, the highest standards of Safety, Training and Professionalism in our industry.

It is our mission to:

• Provide leadership to actively promote safety, training, professionalism, honesty and the highest ethical standards.
• Provide our members with professional representation to clients, government agencies, learning institutions and indigenous peoples.
• Be a conduit for the dissemination of information, safety alerts and items of industry concern.
• Be leaders in the development of training standards and in the provision of training programmes that suit the needs of our members.
• Listen to the needs of our members and act on their behalf, wherever possible.
